At Connex we have focused this term on Safety and Belonging. The learners have enjoyed getting to know their classrooms, safe spaces, peers and staff. They have built some trusted relationships which will support their time at Connex.  

Staff are working hard to support engagement in learning at Connex and it has been wonderful to see learning take place in lots of different ways. A favourite aspect for many will have been the cooking sessions where they have followed instructions, measured and adapted measurements and written reviews whilst cooking sausage rolls, brownies, cupcakes, cheese twists, fruit salad and many others. The learners also delight in the off-site activities such as swimming, cycling, trampolining, tennis, going to the gym and visiting the farm which support social interaction, as well as physical and mental well-being. It has been a busy few weeks.
