  Nikki joined the Brunel in 2018 and has been working with SEN children for over seven years. In this time, she has provided group, 1:1 and outreach support and advice to both SEN and mainstream schools around Autism and linked diagnoses, practices and resources.

  Nikki has Level 2 Accreditation in Understanding Autism; is a Team Teach Trainer and a DSL Level 3. She is currently training to be a NAS Teen Life Licensed Facilitator.

  Nikki loves working with SEN children as she feels it feeds her passion for inclusion, communication and creating supportive environments where every child can thrive.

  Nikki recently took on a new role as Outreach and Training Lead for Connex. As a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM) and with thirty years of experience within advertising and marketing she is looking forward to bringing creativity, strategy and heart to this role.

  Her new role involves connecting with schools, parents and learners, through compelling outreach and training, community involvement and meaningful interactions.

  Outside of work, she has a very full life, she is Mum and Step-Mum to six girls and three grandchildren, who keep her endlessly inspired and on her toes. She also shares her home with three dogs and two cats often making it a very lively (and entertaining) household.

  When she is not working or spending time with her family you will often find her busy in her garden and spending time with friends.
